Ondansetron Hydrochloride 4mg Mouth Dissolving Tablet is used alone or with other medications to prevent nausea and vomiting caused by cancer drug treatment (chemotherapy) and radiation therapy. It is also used to prevent and treat nausea and vomiting after surgery. Ondansetron works by blocking one of the body's natural substances (serotonin) that causes vomiting.

Uses of Ondansetron Hydrochloride 4mg

1. Prevents nausea and vomiting caused by chemotherapy
   
2. Controls radiation-induced nausea
   
3. Treats post-surgical nausea and vomiting
   
4. May be used with other medications to enhance the antiemetic effect

How to Take Ondansetron HCL 4mg Tablet

1. Ensure your hands are dry before handling the tablet.
   
2. Gently peel back the foil (do not push the tablet through).
   
3. Place the tablet on your tongue and let it dissolve completely.
   
4. Swallow it with your saliva. Water is not needed.
   
5. Follow the dosage as prescribed by your healthcare provider.
   
6. Best taken 30 minutes before chemotherapy or surgery.

Side Effects of Ondansetron Hydrochloride 4mg

Common:

Headache: A mild and temporary pain in the head.
Dizziness: Feeling lightheaded or unsteady.
Tiredness: Unusual feeling of fatigue or low energy.
Constipation: Difficulty or infrequent bowel movements.

Serious (Rare):
